ION Enhances XTP Risk JANUS with AI for Better Pre-Trade Risk Management

ION has integrated AI into its XTP Risk JANUS solution to improve pre-trade risk management, enhancing the accuracy of CME's SPAN2 Approximation.

ION has enhanced its XTP Risk JANUS solution with artificial intelligence to optimize pre-trade risk management, announced in a press release. This upgrade improves the accuracy of CME's SPAN2 Approximation, allowing traders to obtain faster and more precise margin estimates.

The AI-enhanced model, developed by LIST, an ION company, is integrated with XTP Risk JANUS and its Margin Engine, which are used for pre-trade order validation in cleared derivatives trading. The solution incorporates the CME SPAN 2 deployable library and offers the option to use CME SPAN2 Approximation for rapid calculations.

ION's application of AI addresses the challenge of initial margins calculated by SPAN2 Approximation differing from the original model. By applying AI, ION has enhanced the accuracy of SPAN2 Approximation, ensuring results closely match the original model while maintaining the speed necessary for efficient pre-trade validation.
