ElevenLabs Secures AIUC-1 Certification and Launches Insured AI Voice Agents
London-based ElevenLabs has rolled out a first-of-its-kind insurance policy for AI voice agents, announced in a press release. The policy is backed by the AIUC-1 certification, making ElevenLabs the first company to offer insurance coverage for the actions of its AI agents.
AIUC-1 certification subjects AI systems to more than 5,000 adversarial simulations to test data privacy, safety, security, reliability, and accountability. Passing these tests provided insurers with the empirical risk profile needed to underwrite AI systems. As a result, enterprises using ElevenLabs' AI voice agents can now insure against risks such as incorrect responses or unauthorized actions.
ElevenLabs’ enterprise clients include employees from over 75% of Fortune 500 companies, and its ElevenAgents platform powers more than three million voice agents used in customer support, sales, and scheduling workflows. The company stated that this certification and insurance combination allows businesses to deploy AI agents with greater confidence and risk mitigation.
Founded in 2022 and backed by Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and ICONIQ Growth, ElevenLabs has reached $330 million in annual recurring revenue and an $11 billion valuation. The company said the AIUC-1 certification framework was developed with input from over 75 security leaders, academics, and AI experts to address enterprise concerns about deploying AI agents at scale.
