IAB Appoints Caroline Giegerich as VP of AI

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has appointed Caroline Giegerich as Vice President of AI to lead strategic AI initiatives across the digital advertising ecosystem.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has appointed Caroline Giegerich as Vice President of AI, a move aimed at advancing the integration of artificial intelligence in the digital advertising industry. Giegerich will spearhead IAB's strategic initiatives to incorporate AI across the digital advertising ecosystem, focusing on developing practical tools, resources, and best practices for marketers, agencies, publishers, platforms, and ad technology companies, announced in a press release.

Giegerich, who brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and emerging technologies, previously served as Vice President of Global Marketing & Innovation at Warner Music Group. Her new role at IAB will involve leading a three-pronged AI roadmap for 2025, which includes the creation of an AI Ecosystem Map, a GenAI Personalization Playbook, and initiatives to ensure AI-generated content integrity and trust.

In addition to Giegerich's appointment, IAB has partnered with Alvarez & Marsal's Media & Entertainment group to advise on the development of industry standards and strategies for business transformation in the AI domain. This collaboration aims to address the evolving needs of digital advertisers and enhance the industry's ability to harness AI effectively.
