HDT Robotics Joins U.S. Army Autonomous Logistics Project

HDT Robotics, doing business as BLADE, was selected as one of five partners for the U.S. Army Project Sustainment initiative and will propose its Dire WOLF unmanned ground vehicle.

HDT Robotics, doing business as BLADE, has been selected as one of five industry partners for the U.S. Army's Project Sustainment initiative, the company said in a press release. The National Advanced Mobility Consortium program focuses on automating supply distribution in contested environments.

BLADE's Advanced Battle Lab is putting forward Dire WOLF, a six wheeled diesel electric hybrid variant of its WOLF-X robotic combat vehicle. The unmanned ground vehicle is designed for long and short range logistics missions.

The company said Dire WOLF can transport thousands of pounds of cargo. It includes a hybrid diesel electric powertrain, pivot steering, Michelin Tweel tires, and onboard battery storage for exportable power.
