HavocAI Raises $85 Million to Expand Autonomous Boat Production for U.S. Military
Providence-based HavocAI has raised $85 million to expand production of its autonomous maritime systems, announced in a press release. The round included investors B Capital, In-Q-Tel, Lockheed Martin, Hanwha, Taiwania, Vanderbilt University, and Up Partners, among others, bringing the company’s total funding to nearly $100 million.
The funding will enable HavocAI to increase vessel integration across its current 14-foot, 38-foot, 42-foot, and 100-foot platforms, as well as new vessel types. The company plans to boost manufacturing capacity to meet demand from the U.S. Army, Navy, and international allies, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region.
HavocAI’s autonomous systems are designed to operate collaboratively in large fleets, allowing hundreds of vessels to be managed by a single operator. The company has already delivered over thirty operational products to the U.S. military and demonstrated its technology in field scenarios, including its 100-foot Atlas multi-mission vessel.
Founded in early 2024, HavocAI has partnerships with Lockheed Martin, PacMar Technologies, Metal Shark, Ilmor, and other builders to integrate its autonomy stack into both military and commercial vessels. The new funding follows the passage of legislation under former President Donald Trump that allocated billions for AI and defense system prototyping.
