EVERYWHERE and Skydio Integrate for Autonomous Drone Response to SOS Events
EVERYWHERE Communications has integrated with Skydio to enable autonomous drones to respond automatically to SOS alerts, announced in a press release. The new functionality connects the EVERYWHERE Platform with Skydio's autonomous drone operations, allowing drones to be dispatched directly to incident locations when a worker triggers an SOS event.
When activated, the SOS signal is sent to EVERYWHERE, which communicates it to Skydio for automatic drone deployment. At the same time, supervisors, dispatch centers, field teams, and emergency services receive notifications through the platform's existing workflows.
The capability is currently being tested in a live lone worker safety program and is expected to support broader use across utilities and defense sectors. The system design also allows future expansion to include automatic drone responses for other triggers such as geofence violations or missed check-ins.
