Guardian Taps Sierra for AI Customer Service
Guardian Life Insurance Company announced in a press release a multiyear partnership with Sierra to use AI across customer service interactions.
Guardian will apply Sierra's platform to high volume requests, including about 1 million dental benefit verification calls each year. The technology will also handle payment processing and claim status inquiries, giving customers access to answers at any time of day.
Sierra CEO and co-founder Bret Taylor said customers should not have to sit on hold to check on a claim or confirm dental benefits. Guardian chief strategy officer Michael Prestileo said the partnership lets its staff focus on moments that need human judgment. Over the past year Guardian has also partnered with HCLTech and with Avantos, an AI operating system for financial services firms.

Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
