Google Asia Pacific and Korean startup Dot Inc. have signed a strategic MOU to integrate the Dot Pad tactile display with Google Chromebooks, improving access to digital learning for blind and low-vision students across multiple regions.

Google Asia Pacific and Korean startup Dot Inc. have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding to promote inclusive digital education across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, announced in a press release. The collaboration involves integrating Dot Inc.’s tactile display, the Dot Pad, with Google Chromebooks to support visually impaired learners.

The Dot Pad is described as the world’s first large-scale tactile display capable of rendering real-time graphics. It converts braille text, images, charts, and diagrams into tactile graphics, allowing students to explore educational materials through touch.

The partnership was publicly announced on October 15, 2025, at the World Inclusion Congress in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where Dot Inc. demonstrated the Dot Pad’s capabilities with Google’s Chromebook. The integration aims to give blind and low-vision students greater access to digital graphics and interactive learning environments.

Dot Inc. has previously collaborated with institutions such as the University of Oxford, Boston University, and NIT Meghalaya. This new partnership with Google expands its reach and underscores a shared effort to make classrooms more accessible through advanced tactile and AI-powered technologies.
