GMI Cloud and Magna AI Partner to Build Global Sovereign AI Factories

GMI Cloud has partnered with Magna AI to create a global network of sovereign AI Factories using NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 infrastructure, with initial projects in Malaysia, Belgium, and Romania.

GMI Cloud has formed a strategic partnership with Magna AI to design and deploy a global network of sovereign AI Factories, announced in a press release. The facilities will be built around the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform and will focus on secure, independent AI infrastructure across multiple regions.

The companies plan to develop projects in Malaysia, Belgium, and Romania, with additional sites under consideration in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The collaboration will combine GMI Cloud's GPU cloud infrastructure with Magna AI's sovereign AI capabilities, supported by Trend Micro's cybersecurity expertise and Wistron Digital Technology Holding's hardware integration.

According to the announcement, the partnership will deliver GPU cloud services and AI security solutions aimed at enabling nations to manage and scale their own intelligence infrastructure. The initiative aligns with growing global interest in sovereign AI and the need for secure, locally controlled computing resources.
