SCX.ai and DDN Partner on Australian Sovereign AI Inference Cloud

August 25, 2026
SCX.ai and DDN have partnered to expand Australia's sovereign AI inferencing cloud, combining SCX.ai infrastructure with DDN's Infinia data platform.

SCX.ai and DDN have announced a partnership to expand Australia's largest sovereign AI inferencing cloud, the companies said in a press release.

The partnership combines SCX.ai infrastructure accelerated by ASICs with DDN's Infinia data intelligence platform. The service is intended for Australian enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions that need AI workloads and data to remain in Australia.

SCX.ai said Infinia will support large concurrent inference workloads with latency below one millisecond and up to 27x faster KV cache loading. The cloud runs on SambaNova AI processors and uses air cooling in existing commercial data centres.

SCX.ai's first sovereign AI node is operational at the Equinix SY5 data centre in Sydney. The company said its second node is targeted to be operational by the end of 2026, with more nodes planned for a national sovereign AI inference network.
