GAC Takes Eight China SAE Awards, Including AI Body Design Project
GAC received eight awards at the 2026 China SAE science and technology ceremony on October 28, including four first prizes, the automaker said in a press release. The recognized projects covered automotive chips, electric power systems, vehicle safety, automated driving governance and body design.
An AI based body design system generates concepts in five hours, predicts stiffness with more than 95% accuracy and increases design efficiency by more than 30%. GAC said the system has been used for the second generation GAC GS8, GAC ES9 and the new GAC S7.
Another recognized project created a safety governance process for Level 2 to Level 4 driving systems. It covers approval before deployment, operational supervision and analysis after an incident.
GAC also led a chip project involving 105 partners, nearly 400 chip models and more than 1,000 domestically designed chips. A separate safety project with Tsinghua University developed an ASIL D controller, risk measurement in real time and active suspension technology for side impacts.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
