Fisher College has entered a multi-million dollar partnership with NWN to modernize its campus infrastructure and develop new AI and esports programs, announced in a press release.

The collaboration includes a $2.5 million investment covering a full network upgrade, the deployment of a 10G backbone, and replacement of legacy switches and wireless access points. NWN also integrated its EMP Managed Services platform to support daily IT operations and long-term planning at the Boston-based college.

The upgraded infrastructure supports Fisher’s expanded esports program, featuring more than 80 gaming stations, a broadcast studio, and training in production and digital storytelling. The college plans to use these facilities for hands-on learning in esports management, content creation, and AI-enhanced game design.

As part of the partnership, NWN and Fisher are co-developing an AI curriculum covering generative AI, prompt engineering, ethical AI use, and digital creativity. The initiative will launch with the Winter 2026 AI Learning Summit, bringing together students, faculty, and industry leaders to explore AI’s role in education and the workforce.
