Danaher and NVIDIA Bring AI Into Laboratory Instruments
Danaher Corporation and NVIDIA will combine laboratory instruments, automation systems and workflow software with accelerated computing and AI technologies, Danaher said in a press release. The collaboration will connect AI predictions with experiments so that results can inform models and models can help design later experiments.
The companies are working to integrate AI into scientific instruments through edge computing such as NVIDIA DGX Spark, accelerated analytics and data processing with RAPIDS, real-time inference, scientific reasoning and foundation model technologies including BioNeMo Open Models. Initial work will focus on a selected group of instruments, with possible expansion to more of Danaher's portfolio.
Danaher and NVIDIA are also exploring the use of NVIDIA Cosmos world models and Omniverse Digital Twins in instruments and laboratory workflows. Danaher said it aims to shorten the path from an AI-generated prediction to the experimental evidence needed to act on it, while preserving customer choice in models, standards and technology providers.
