Firebird and OpenAI Partner with Armenia to Launch Firebird Labs
Firebird, OpenAI, and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia have partnered to expand AI education and research access across the country. The collaboration was announced in a press release on May 29, 2026.
As part of the initiative, Firebird introduced Firebird Labs, a platform designed to invest in, incubate, and co-develop technical ventures in Armenia. The first phase of the project will bring AI tools and resources to 50,000 students, teachers, and researchers.
OpenAI is supporting the program by providing technology access, API credits, and technical assistance. The partnership aims to strengthen Armenia’s engineering and research ecosystem by enabling access to advanced AI infrastructure and expertise.
Firebird Labs will also serve as a base for new startups and research projects, helping founders and engineers in Armenia develop competitive AI solutions for global markets.
