DentScribe Releases Benchmark for AI Dental Notes
DentScribe announced in a press release the Dental AI SOAP Note Benchmark 1.0 and a companion white paper titled Beyond Transcription. The materials help dental practices assess whether AI notes preserve clinical information accurately.
The benchmark tests whether systems associate findings with the correct tooth, surface, periodontal site, or region. It also checks treatment status, corrected measurements, uncertainty, and the exclusion of information from other patients.
The test contains ten focused cases and two cases based on scattered, deidentified clinical excerpts. To pass, a system must include every essential fact, avoid invented or conflicting details, and organize the note in a form usable by a dentist. DentScribe says it does not publish its own prompts or engineering methods, but makes the cases, expected content and scoring rules available on request to dental practices and dental service organisations, which can also use them to compare products.
