Edge Delta launches AI SRE and open incident benchmark

Edge Delta announced in a press release the prod immune system, an AI site reliability engineering tool that works directly with telemetry from production systems. Its AI Teammates monitor logs, metrics, traces and events, investigate abnormal behavior and propose fixes through approval controls.

The company also launched AI SRE Arena, an open benchmark that injects 21 faults into a Kubernetes deployment of the OpenTelemetry demo application. An AI model grades each product's final report for its identified root cause and proposed fix against a fixed answer key.

Edge Delta said its product independently detected 18 of the 21 incidents, compared with 12 for an unnamed competing product. The company said none of its final recommendations were graded as incorrect or unsafe. The benchmark scenarios, answer keys and scoring code are available as open source software.
