Cursor Adds Origin Code Hosting for Paid Users
Cursor announced on its changelog Origin, a code hosting service that is rolling out in early beta to users on paid plans.
Origin includes repos, pull requests, code browsing, and GitHub sync. Users can create a repo from the Codebase tab, install the CLI, then clone a repo or push a local project to storage hosted by Cursor.
Users can connect GitHub, select an org, and sync repos into Origin. Synced repos can be browsed, searched, and pulled from Cursor, while pushes for those repos continue to go to GitHub. Pull request comments and replies sync both ways between Cursor and GitHub.
Agents can answer questions about code in repos, make changes, update pull requests, and push branches. Origin also includes app integrations with Vercel, Depot, and Buildkite for preview deployments and CI, along with repo settings for access, sync status, and connected apps.
