ControlUp Launches Pulse AI Insights for IT Operations

Sep 16, 2026
Pulse AI Insights analyzes digital workplace telemetry and prioritizes operational findings with severity ratings, affected users and recommended actions. It joins Pulse AI Assistant and Pulse AI Resolve in ControlUp's Pulse AI platform.

ControlUp has launched Pulse AI Insights, a capability that analyzes digital workplace telemetry and prioritizes the operational findings most likely to affect employees, as detailed in a company blog post. It runs on a schedule, daily for operational use cases and weekly or monthly for informational ones, and assigns severity ratings to what it surfaces.

The capability joins ControlUp's Pulse AI platform, where Pulse AI Insights identifies what deserves attention, Pulse AI Assistant carries that context into investigation, and Pulse AI Resolve applies agentic AI to diagnose and remediate common problems.

Current use cases cover application crashes, blue screen events, application resource consumption, Adobe Creative Cloud usage and newly detected assets. Each insight can include supporting metrics, affected users and devices, historical patterns, environmental correlations, an AI generated summary and a recommended next step, with PDF and CSV downloads.

For application crashes the system analyzes the previous 28 days to establish a daily baseline, compares it with the most recent day and can correlate abnormal increases with software or driver changes on affected devices. An insight and its context can be passed into Pulse AI Assistant for deeper work.

Kaleb Smith, an IT engineer at CHRISTUS Health, said in ControlUp's announcement that when RTK audio driver crashes disrupted sound across 900 devices, the system identified and correlated the root cause in hours, against an investigation he said would have taken days to complete manually.
