Collibra Expands Integration with Snowflake for AI Governance and Context Synchronization
Collibra has expanded its integration with Snowflake to provide governed business context and semantic consistency across the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, announced in a press release at Snowflake Summit 26.
The collaboration introduces a new bi-directional integration allowing Collibra-governed metadata, descriptions, tags, and policies to flow into Snowflake, while Snowflake’s technical metadata and lineage are automatically synchronized back into Collibra. This ensures consistent business context and alignment of governance policies across both platforms.
Through this integration, semantic models governed in Collibra can be published into Snowflake as Open Semantic Interchange documents or Snowflake Semantic Views. These capabilities support Snowflake Cortex Analyst and Cortex Agents with business-ready context for more accurate and compliant AI operations.
The integration also extends Collibra’s AI Command Center into Snowflake environments, providing visibility and traceability across the AI lifecycle. Joint customers can manage access controls, automate policy enforcement, and monitor compliance through centralized governance. The new features are available in preview to select customers, with broader availability planned for the third quarter of 2026.
