Checkr Introduces Profiles for Portable Verified Identities

Checkr announced in a press release the launch of Checkr Profiles, a portable identity solution that allows individuals to manage and share their verified credentials. The service gives people control over their verified identity, while platforms and marketplaces can integrate trusted verification directly into their systems.

Checkr Profiles enables users to create a shareable profile backed by Checkr’s verification technology. This replaces self-reported claims with verified credentials that can be used across different contexts such as hiring, caregiving, or freelance work. A Checkr Verified badge can be embedded into job boards and marketplaces, providing a visible indicator of trust.

More than half a million users have already created a Checkr Profile. GigSmart, a workforce technology platform, was among the first to embed Checkr Profiles, making it the entry point for workers on its platform. The integration adds verified trust across job applications.
