iCIMS adds candidate fraud detection tools to hiring platform

Oct 16, 2026
iCIMS is adding identity verification, fraud risk scores and partner badges to help recruiters detect fake applicants within its hiring platform.

iCIMS introduced a candidate fraud detection framework that combines controls in its hiring platform with identity verification and risk analysis from partners, the company said in a press release. The company also created a Fraud Detection category in the iCIMS Marketplace, with Socure and ApplicantX by Brilliant as its first integration partners.

Socure verifies candidates using documents, selfies, email addresses, phone numbers, devices and network signals. ApplicantX examines application, resume, identity, device, network and interview data, including signals that may indicate deepfakes, and provides recruiters with risk scores.

iCIMS also uses leaked credential blocking, hCaptcha, geoblocking, IP controls, one time passcodes and email verification. Results from partner tools appear in the iCIMS Applicant Tracking System, while new Marketplace badges identify partners that provide fraud detection features.
