Bridgetown Research Secures $19M to Enhance AI-Driven Due Diligence
Bridgetown Research has raised $19 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Accel and Lightspeed, according to TechCrunch. The startup aims to revolutionize the due diligence process by employing AI agents that can efficiently gather, collate, and present data.
Founded in December 2023 by Harsh Sahai, a former McKinsey employee and Amazon research scientist, Bridgetown Research has developed three types of AI agents. These agents are designed to collect information, interpret it using large-language models, and present it in a user-friendly format. The company collaborates with networks of industry experts, using AI voice agents to conduct interviews and gather insights.
Bridgetown's approach allows for rapid due diligence analysis, delivering results within 24 hours with inputs from numerous respondents. The startup's AI agents are designed to ensure accuracy through a "steerability and auditability" approach, allowing clients to trace the data collection process and verify information manually.
The company plans to use the new funding to further train its AI agents, expanding their analytical capabilities and strengthening industry partnerships to enhance access to domain-specific intelligence.
