Avid Brings Media Composer to Browsers With Google Cloud AI

Avid and Google Cloud are expanding their partnership with a browser based version of Media Composer and AI features for editing, media search and workflow automation.

Avid Technology and Google Cloud announced an expanded partnership in a press release, introducing browser based Media Composer and an upgraded Avid Content Core. The integration adds Gemini Enterprise and BigQuery to Avid's post production tools and media specific AI agents.

Media Composer will support agentic editing through natural language prompts. Other features include semantic media search using generated transcripts and descriptions, plus connected workflows for newsroom planning, editing, broadcast programming and production analytics.

Avid Content Core Site Engine will support hybrid cloud deployments. The companies will demonstrate the new workflows at IBC2026 in Amsterdam from September 11 to 14, 2026.
