Apple Inc. plans to significantly increase its investments in artificial intelligence and is open to mergers and acquisitions to accelerate its AI strategy, according to CNBC. CEO Tim Cook emphasized the importance of AI, describing it as one of the most profound technologies of our lifetime.

During the Q3 2025 earnings call, Cook stated that Apple is embedding AI across its devices and platforms. The company has already acquired seven companies this year to bolster its AI capabilities, although none of these acquisitions were substantial in terms of dollar amount.

Apple has faced criticism for delays in launching AI features, including improvements to Siri. Upcoming AI features include live translation and an AI-powered workout buddy, with more personalized Siri improvements expected in 2026.
