Anduril and Ultra Maritime Partner on Autonomous Ocean Sensing

Anduril Industries and Ultra Maritime have announced an exclusive partnership to develop a groundbreaking autonomous ocean sensing capability. In a press release, the companies detailed their collaboration, which combines Ultra Maritime's Sea Spear deployable acoustic arrays and AI-enabled acoustic processing with Anduril's undersea autonomy capabilities, including Dive XL and Seabed Sentry.
This partnership aims to enhance submarine detection capabilities for the U.S. and allied nations by providing a low-cost, distributed undersea surveillance system. The system leverages Anduril's Lattice communications framework to deliver real-time, autonomous submarine sensing across large ocean areas. The joint effort is expected to achieve end-to-end in-water testing by the end of 2025.
