Abridge has raised $250 million in Series D funding, announced in a press release. The investment round was co-led by Elad Gil and IVP, with participation from notable investors such as Bessemer Venture Partners, CapitalG, and NVIDIA's NVentures. This funding will support the development of Abridge's AI capabilities and commercial growth.

In addition to the funding announcement, Abridge has introduced a new Contextual Reasoning Engine. This AI architecture is designed to produce clinically useful and billable notes at the point of care, addressing the issue of incomplete clinical notes that delay billing processes. The engine integrates data from past patient encounters and health system-specific guidelines to create comprehensive notes, simplifying revenue cycle workflows.

Abridge's platform is now deployed in over 100 health systems, including major institutions like Duke Health, Johns Hopkins, and Mayo Clinic. The company aims to reduce administrative burdens and improve patient care by enabling clinicians to focus more on their patients rather than documentation.
