3Shape Introduces AI-Driven CAD Innovations for Dental Labs
3Shape has announced a major update to its Dental System 2024 software, introducing a range of AI-driven innovations aimed at enhancing the efficiency and digitization of dental lab workflows. In a press release, the company detailed the integration of a free AI-powered crown design application and several workflow enhancements.
The new features include AI-powered design proposals for crowns, inlays, and onlays, which are available at no additional cost to 3Shape LabCare subscribers. These proposals are designed to maximize productivity by automating routine tasks and reducing manual adjustments. The software also promises up to 10x faster case management and 20x faster reopening of cases, significantly improving turnaround times.
Additionally, 3Shape has integrated its LMS software with the Dental System to streamline tasks and reduce administrative work. This integration allows labs to collaborate with clients via the cloud, providing a transparent overview of cases 24/7. The company is also moving to a cloud-based licensing system, eliminating the need for physical dongles and simplifying software updates.
