Xaba Secures $6M to Advance AI-Powered Industrial Robots
Xaba, a Toronto-based startup, has raised $6 million in seed funding led by Hitachi Ventures, as reported by VentureBeat. The funding will accelerate the deployment of AI-powered robotics and cognitive industrial control systems.
Xaba is pioneering the use of industrial artificial intelligence to transform manufacturing processes. Its flagship product, xCognition, equips industrial robots and collaborative robots with AI-driven cognition and awareness, enabling them to autonomously generate programs and execute complex tasks such as welding, drilling, and assembling.
The company's solutions integrate real-time intelligence into automation, significantly reducing deployment costs and enhancing the quality and flexibility of manufacturing operations. Xaba's generative industrial AI allows machines to autonomously adapt, optimize, and execute tasks with precision, aiming to address the $9 trillion opportunity in the industry.
Xaba's CEO, Massimiliano Moruzzi, highlighted the inefficiencies in current industrial automation, which relies heavily on outdated controllers and manual intervention. By developing a 'synthetic brain' for industrial robots, Xaba aims to redefine automation, enabling robots to self-optimize and execute complex tasks with minimal programming.
