STEER Tech and HEVO Unveil Wireless Autonomous Charging Solution
STEER Tech and HEVO have announced a groundbreaking partnership to deliver the world's first fully integrated wireless autonomous charging solution, announced in a press release. This collaboration combines HEVO's wireless charging platform with STEER's autonomous vehicle technology, enabling commercial fleets to navigate, dock, and charge without human intervention.
The integration of STEER's precision-driven autonomous vehicle platform with HEVO's wireless charging technology offers fleets a significant operational advantage. Vehicles can automatically navigate through complex depots, execute low-speed precision maneuvers, and dock seamlessly at wireless charging pads, eliminating the need for manual charging logistics. This innovation aims to reduce labor costs and maximize vehicle uptime.
The first vehicle to be integrated will be a Ford E-Transit, equipped with STEER's autonomous technology and paired with HEVO's wireless charging system at HEVO's Brooklyn headquarters. Integration work is set to begin immediately, with public demonstrations planned for Fall 2025.
