Visteon and Qualcomm Technologies have announced a collaboration to introduce a new high-performance cockpit system at Auto Shanghai 2025, announced in a press release. This system is designed to enhance in-vehicle interactions through AI-driven insights and context-aware features.
The new cockpit system leverages Visteon's cognitoAI framework and Qualcomm's Snapdragon Cockpit Elite Platform. It features a hybrid multimodal AI architecture that integrates speech, camera inputs, and vehicle data for proactive, context-aware interactions. The system is capable of handling complex tasks such as predictive recommendations and environmental awareness, providing a highly responsive in-vehicle experience.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon Cockpit Elite Platform includes the Qualcomm Oryon CPU, Hexagon Neural Processing Unit, and Adreno GPU, supporting rich multimedia features and advanced 3D graphics. This platform is designed to meet automotive safety standards and offers long-term support and API compatibility, allowing for seamless content and data sharing across multiple passenger interfaces.
