US Navy orders personnel to replace AI with “super intelligence”
The U.S. Navy ordered all commands and personnel to replace “artificial intelligence” and “AI” with “super intelligence” and “SI” in official materials, reports Military Times. The policy takes effect immediately and covers correspondence, orders, training materials, public communications, websites, strategic assessments and congressional reports.
Commanders must review public releases, internal portals and external presentations for compliance within 30 days of the memo. They must then submit a report confirming completion.
The directive does not require changes to previously published documents or existing contracts. References in laws and statutes will remain unchanged unless Congress amends them.
