Sygaldry Raises $139 Million to Develop Quantum Servers for AI
Sygaldry has raised $139 million to build quantum-accelerated servers for artificial intelligence workloads, reports Menlo Times. The funding includes a $105 million Series A round led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures in March 2026, following a $34 million seed round led by Initialized Capital.
The company, founded by Chad Rigetti, Idalia Friedson, and Michael Keiser, is developing quantum computers tailored for AI tasks. These systems aim to improve performance per watt by integrating quantum computing directly into AI data centers.
Sygaldry’s technology is designed to accelerate classical AI algorithms while enabling new quantum-native methods. The company is also building quantum algorithms compatible with existing AI research tools, with the goal of reducing both training costs and energy consumption for large models.
