Stability AI and EA Partner on Generative AI Tools for Game Development
Stability AI and Electronic Arts (EA) have announced a strategic partnership to co-develop generative AI tools and workflows for game creation, according to a press release.
The collaboration will focus on integrating Stability AI’s generative models into EA’s creative processes to help artists, designers, and developers iterate faster and expand creative possibilities. One of the first initiatives will involve AI-assisted generation of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials, enabling accurate color and lighting across environments.
The partnership will also explore systems capable of pre-visualizing complete 3D environments from text prompts, allowing for rapid prototyping and concept visualization. Stability AI’s 3D research team will work directly with EA’s creative teams to develop these AI-driven workflows.
Stability AI’s technologies, including Stable Fast 3D, TripoSR, and Stable Zero123, will contribute to the joint effort to enhance world-building and visual storytelling in game development.
