Sanity Launches AI Content Operating System for Enterprises

March 06, 2026
Sanity has introduced its AI Content Operating System, providing structured content management and automation tools for enterprise AI workflows.

San Francisco-based Sanity has launched what it calls the AI Content Operating System, designed to serve as an intelligent backend for enterprise-scale AI content operations, announced in a press release.

The platform is built around three core capabilities: modeling business content, automating workflows, and powering applications through structured data. Sanity’s system provides a foundation for running AI in production by combining structured content modeling, automation layers, and agentic context.

Recent additions include the Content Agent, which automates tasks such as auditing thousands of pages and staging content for publishing; Functions and Agent API, which extend automation across translation and distribution; and the MCP server, which gives AI agents governed access to structured content. The latest feature, Agent Context, enables agents to interpret data models directly, allowing more precise content queries without relying on vector-based approximations.

Sanity reports that clients such as Complex and loveholidays have used the platform to automate editorial and translation operations, significantly reducing manual workload and operational costs.
