
Spotify Introduces Gen AI Ads and Programmatic Ad Buying
Spotify has launched Gen AI ads and a new programmatic ad platform called the Spotify Ad Exchange (SAX), announced in a press release. This new offering allows advertisers to reach Spotify's logged-in users through real-time auctions, providing full addressability and measurement capabilities.
The Spotify Ad Exchange is initially available via partnerships with Google's Display & Video 360, Magnite, and The Trade Desk, with more partners like Yahoo DSP and Adform expected soon. Advertisers can utilize audio, video, and display formats across music, with podcast support coming later. SAX is available in multiple regions, including the U.S., Canada, Europe, and more.
Additionally, Spotify is integrating AI into its advertising offerings, enabling marketers to create scripts and voiceovers for audio ads using Gen AI at no extra cost. This feature is accessible through Spotify Ads Manager in the U.S. and Canada, aiming to simplify the creation of high-quality, scalable audio ads.
