Spektr Raises $20M Series A to Expand AI Compliance Automation
Copenhagen-based Spektr has raised $20 million in a Series A round led by NEA, announced in a press release. Existing investors Northzone, Seedcamp, and PreSeed Ventures also participated, bringing the company’s total funding to $26 million.
Founded in 2023, Spektr develops AI agents that automate Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) compliance tasks. The platform performs research, verifies business activities, interprets documentation from multiple sources, and generates structured risk assessments for review by compliance teams.
Financial institutions using the platform can design their own onboarding and monitoring workflows, deploying networks of AI agents to replace manual tasks. Current customers include Pleo, Santander Leasing, Mercuryo, Phantom, and Monta.
The company plans to use the new funding to expand its engineering team, enhance platform capabilities, and open offices in London and New York to support growing demand from large financial institutions.
