Sony Acquires STATSports to Enhance Sports Data Capabilities
Sony has acquired STATSports Group, a leader in athlete monitoring solutions, to bolster its sports data business, announced in a press release. Founded in 2008, STATSports provides tracking technologies and performance analysis solutions to over 800 sports clubs worldwide, including major teams like Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC.
The acquisition allows Sony to integrate STATSports' wearable technology with its existing sports technology solutions.
