Sonilo Partners with Shutterstock for Licensed AI Music Training

Sonilo has entered a strategic partnership with Shutterstock, licensing Shutterstock’s music catalog to train its video-to-music AI model. The collaboration marks Shutterstock’s first partnership with a video-to-music AI platform and aims to ensure all training data is fully licensed and rights-cleared.

Sonilo has formed a strategic partnership with Shutterstock, licensing Shutterstock’s music catalog for AI model training, announced in a press release. This marks Shutterstock’s first collaboration with a video to music AI platform.

Sonilo’s proprietary Sonilo v1.0 model generates original soundtracks by analyzing video input directly rather than relying on text prompts. Each soundtrack is created from scratch, synchronized automatically, and cleared for commercial use without additional licensing.

The partnership ensures that Sonilo’s AI training process uses only licensed and compensated content. Shutterstock stated that the collaboration reflects the growing demand for responsibly sourced training data and safe commercial AI workflows.

Sonilo recently integrated its platform into the open source tool ComfyUI, which has more than four million users. The company also offers API access for integration into video tools, game engines, and creator platforms, with additional integrations planned throughout the year.
