Sharon Zhou Leaves AMD for Anthropic
Sharon Zhou said in a LinkedIn post on November 4, 2026 that she has joined Anthropic to get back to frontier research and work on AI models. She did not disclose her title or specific responsibilities.
At AMD, Zhou built and ran an AI research organization that led the company's partnerships with frontier AI labs, where she was executive sponsor. Her team worked on reinforcement learning kernel optimization. She came to AMD with members of her startup Lamini.
Zhou wrote that this work showed her that pushing a frontier capability forward takes far fewer people than expected, and that it affected the compute that labs and companies can use with models such as Claude.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
