Seasats Unveils Quickfish Autonomous Vessel at U.S. Navy Exercise

Seasats unveiled its Quickfish autonomous surface vessel during a multi-day exercise with the U.S. Navy off the California coast, announced in a press release. The Quickfish demonstrated speeds exceeding 35 knots, modular payload capabilities, and autonomous control systems designed for rapid deployment.

The Quickfish is built for long-endurance missions, offering multi-week loitering at sea and a concealed aerial vehicle launch bay. Its hull is designed for nearly toolless manufacturing, allowing scalable production in partner nations. Seasats noted that the design supports local manufacturing agreements already established in Australia, the Philippines, and Japan.

A U.S. defense prime contractor has purchased a Quickfish to accelerate maritime autonomy programs. The company’s previous Lightfish vessel successfully completed a 7,500-mile autonomous Pacific crossing, contributing to Seasats securing an $89 million SBIR Phase III contract supporting NIWC Atlantic and U.S. Marine Corps unmanned surface vehicle initiatives.
