Samsung to Integrate Perplexity AI in Galaxy S26
Samsung is close to finalizing a significant deal with Perplexity AI to integrate the AI startup's search technology into its devices, including the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. This collaboration, as reported by Bloomberg, involves preloading Perplexity's app and assistant on Samsung devices and embedding its search features into the Samsung web browser.
The integration is expected to be announced later this year, with the goal of making Perplexity's service a default assistant option in the Galaxy S26, slated for release in the first half of 2026. Discussions have also included enhancing Samsung's Bixby virtual assistant with Perplexity's technology.
Additionally, Samsung is anticipated to be a major investor in Perplexity's upcoming funding round, where the AI startup aims to raise $500 million at a $14 billion valuation. This partnership marks Perplexity's largest mobile collaboration to date, following a recent deal with Motorola.
