Perplexity will run AI workloads on NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs through a multiyear agreement with IREN.

Perplexity AI will run AI workloads on NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs through a multiyear agreement with IREN, the companies announced on IREN's website. The GPUs will operate at an IREN data center campus.

The dedicated compute will support Perplexity's research tools and Perplexity Computer, which coordinates agents for research, coding, and content creation. These services use models from multiple providers and select models based on each task.

IREN operates its own data centers, compute infrastructure, and cloud software. The company says it has 5 GW of grid connected power worldwide.

Perplexity says more than 50,000 organizations use its research tools. "Dedicated compute is one element of making that possible, and we're excited to work with IREN as we invest in the next phase of Perplexity's growth," said Nate Kupp, Perplexity's VP of Engineering.
