Oct 29, 2026
Samsung Electronics reported record third quarter revenue of KRW 195.3 trillion and operating profit of KRW 107.4 trillion, supported by demand for AI memory products.

Samsung Electronics reported in a press release record revenue of KRW 195.3 trillion and operating profit of KRW 107.4 trillion for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026. Revenue rose 14 percent from the previous quarter, and Samsung said it is the first technology company to exceed KRW 100 trillion in quarterly operating profit.

The Device Solutions division generated KRW 147.1 trillion in revenue and KRW 106.5 trillion in operating profit. Its memory business recorded its highest quarterly revenue and operating profit as server demand increased prices and sales of HBM4 products expanded.

Samsung expects AI infrastructure investment to keep memory demand strong during 2027. The company plans to increase sales of high bandwidth memory, server DRAM, DDR5 products, server SSDs, and QLC SSDs, while its foundry business expects growth from 4nm and 2nm chips for AI and high performance computing.

Rival memory maker SK hynix also posted record third quarter results this week.
