ASM Lifts 2027 Outlook Above €5.7 Billion on AI Chip Demand

Oct 27, 2026
ASM posted record Q3 revenue of €1.16 billion and now expects to hit its 2030 revenue target in 2027, driven by AI demand at the leading edge.

ASM International reported record third quarter revenue of €1,159 million and said AI demand will lift 2027 revenue above €5.7 billion, the company said in a press release. That would reach the target ASM set for 2030 three years early.

Q3 revenue rose 44% from a year earlier at constant currencies. Advanced logic and foundry customers drove most of the growth, including the first solid sales for 1.4nm chips. Memory sales also rose strongly, particularly for DRAM used in high bandwidth memory. Adjusted net earnings were €315 million.

"The continued build-out of AI infrastructure is driving significant capacity requirements across the industry, particularly in the leading edge," said CEO Hichem M'Saad. He said capacity is tight across ASM's customers and supply chains are stretched.

ASM expects Q4 revenue of €1,230 million, plus or minus 5%, and about 35% revenue growth for 2026. The board also approved a new share buyback of up to €300 million.
