ASML Reports Record €11.7 Billion Sales as AI Demand Strains Supply

Oct 14, 2026
ASML reported record third quarter sales of €11.7 billion and said planned supply for 2027 and 2028 will not fully meet customer demand linked to AI investment.

In its third quarter results, ASML reported record net sales of €11.7 billion and net income of €5.0 billion. Gross margin reached 57.5%, while sales from services and field options totaled €3.3 billion.

ASML said customers are raising their equipment demand forecasts, primarily because of expected AI investment. Some customers are considering orders for 2029 and 2030, while planned supply for 2027 and 2028 will not fully meet demand. The company is examining ways to expand its 2028 capacity beyond a previously disclosed 30% increase.

ASML expects fourth quarter sales of €14.2 billion to €15.2 billion and a gross margin of about 57%. Its full year forecast calls for sales of €44 billion to €45 billion and a gross margin of about 56%.

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
