STTGDC Secures $590 Million Loan for Tokyo Data Centers
STTGDC secured a JPY 93 billion ($590 million) green loan to finance its Tokyo data center campus, according to Data Center Dynamics. The funding will support the fit out and operation of the TYO1 and TYO2 buildings at the 70 MW campus in Inzai City.
The loan follows the Green Loan Principles and includes requirements for green building certification and energy efficiency. Standard Chartered served as lead coordinator, with support from Mizuho Bank, OCBC, Société Générale and UOB.
TYO1, a 32 MW facility, opened in June 2025. Construction on TYO2 began in April 2024.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
