GreenSquareDC Opens Sydney AI Data Center With 8,200 NVIDIA GPUs
GreenSquareDC opened the first stage of its SYD1 data center in Western Sydney after converting a facility built in 1995, according to W.Media. Its first customer, Sharon AI, will deploy about 8,200 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs using HGX B300 systems.
GreenSquareDC retained the existing slab and most of the building structure. It moved the data halls to the ground floor to support dense computing systems without further structural reinforcement, increasing IT capacity by 275 percent.
The facility has projected power usage effectiveness of 1.20 and potable water usage effectiveness below 0.1 liters per kilowatt hour. It uses closed loop cooling and rainwater harvesting.
An assessment by engineering consultant TTW found that the conversion retained 92 percent of the building's structural carbon. The New South Wales Government's Investment Delivery Authority has endorsed a proposed 80 MW second stage.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
