Prometheus Drops $500 Million Wyoming Data Center Plan
Prometheus Hyperscale will not build its planned $500 million data center campus in Natrona County, Wyoming, reports Oil City News. Local officials said the company provided no advance notice or explanation for its withdrawal.
The proposed 1.5 gigawatt campus would have placed data halls and on site power generation across 940 acres east of Casper. Prometheus projected 3,000 construction jobs, 150 permanent jobs and tens of millions of dollars in annual property tax revenue.
Prometheus had not submitted a permit application to the county planning commission. Nearby residents had raised concerns about generator noise, light, emissions, truck traffic and property values, while local economic officials cited limited power grid capacity as a hurdle for large industrial projects.
A separate 1.25 gigawatt Prometheus campus near Evanston received conditional use approval in June and remains underway.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
