Public filings connect General Catalyst and Aethel Energy to a proposed $66 billion AI data center project in Lost Cabin, Wyoming.

General Catalyst and Aethel Energy are linked through public filings to a proposed $66 billion AI data center in Wyoming, according to Inc. The project is in the early stages of construction in Lost Cabin, a remote area of Fremont County.

The project is backed by holding company ETC DC Opco LLC, which was incorporated in Delaware and registered in Texas and Wyoming in June. Registration documents were signed by Dan Riley, general counsel at General Catalyst. Filings also indicate that Aethel Energy, a Houston-based General Catalyst portfolio company whose co-founder John DiFulvio previously worked at Palantir, is involved in the proposed expansion. Neither company responded to requests for comment.

Lost Cabin is not governed by a municipality, and Fremont County does not enforce zoning or land use regulations there. The area has no permanent residents and contains a gas power plant.
