Robert Half Survey Finds 55% of Gen Z Workers Plan Job Searches

Robert Half said in a press release that 55% of surveyed Gen Z professionals plan to seek a new job by the end of 2026, up from 32% a year earlier. The survey found that 53% believe changing employers could increase their salary potential.

Among respondents seeking work, 56% want stronger perks and benefits, while 50% cite limited advancement opportunities. Another 37% are concerned about keeping their AI skills current. The most valued benefits include health insurance at 65%, flexible schedules at 60%, and commuter benefits at 57%.

Although 87% use AI professionally, 24% said integrating it into daily work has caused burnout. Reported pressures include expectations for greater productivity at 37%, concerns about job security without adopting new tools at 34%, and continuous learning requirements at 27%.

An independent research firm conducted the surveys in March and April 2026, collecting responses from more than 440 Gen Z professionals in the United States.
